Background Introduction
Bovine Serum Albumin, also known as bovine serum protein, or the fifth fraction, is named Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) in English. It is also referred to as Bovine albumin, or Cohn Fraction V, and is commonly abbreviated as BSA. BSA has a wide range of applications in biochemical experiments, such as serving as a blocking agent in Western blotting; BSA is added to the enzyme digestion buffer to increase the protein concentration in the solution, which protects the enzyme from degradation and non-specific adsorption. It can alleviate some enzyme denaturation and some adverse environmental factors such as heat, surface tension, and chemical factors that cause denaturation.
Yeasen is committed to providing diagnostic reagent companies and a wide range of scientific research users with high-quality BSA products. These are made from high-quality bovine plasma using the heat shock method.

Product Information
Standard Grade Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA, Standard Grade) can meet most routine experimental needs, such as being used as an immunological blocking agent, a nutrient and culture component for tissue cells (microorganisms, animal and insect cells, etc.), a protein/enzyme stabilizer, and a protein quantification standard.
Diagnostic Grade Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA, Diagnostic Grade) can meet most routine experimental needs, such as being used as an immunological blocking agent, a protein/enzyme stabilizer, a diluent, a carrier, and a protein standard. Additionally, it is also suitable for highly sensitive immunoassays, cell culture, and hybridization experiments.
Fatty Acid Free Bovine Serum Albumin (Fatty Acid Free BSA), with a very low fatty acid content (0.02%), which is almost negligible, and is easily soluble. It is commonly used as a carrier protein for trace elements, fatty acids, hormones, and growth factors, added to serum-free culture systems. This product allows the addition of certain specific fatty acids to BSA to promote cell growth. Suitable for hormone or cholesterol analysis tests where lipids or fatty acids may interfere with the results.
Protease Free Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA, Protease Free), tested for no protease residue. Mainly used for recombinant protein production, more suitable for use as a blocking agent in RIA/ELISA assays and as an antibody diluent.
Low Endotoxin Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA, Low Endotoxin), with endotoxin content below 2.0 EU/mg, can be used as a natural carrier protein in cell cultures sensitive to endotoxin levels; suitable for serum-free or chemically defined cell and tissue cultures; effectively stabilizes and dilutes sensitive protein solutions; also used for ELISA and other diagnostic assays.
