Description

Klenow (3'5'exo-) DNA polymerase is a proteolytic product of E. coli DNA polymerase I, retaining the DNA polymerase activity of DNA polymerase I but losing the 5'3' exonuclease activity. This enzyme has further removed the 3'5' exonuclease activity through mutation. It can be used for DNA labeling with random priming and DNA sequencing by the dideoxy method, among other applications.
