Description
Lysozyme (LYZ) is a low molecular weight alkaline enzyme that can hydrolyze mucopolysaccharides in pathogenic bacteria. Lysozyme mainly breaks down the β-1,4-glycosidic bond between N-acetylmuramic acid and N-acetylglucosamine in the cell wall, causing insoluble polysaccharides in the cell wall to break down into soluble glycopeptides, leading to the rupture of the cell wall and the escape of contents, thereby dissolving bacteria. Therefore, it is a potential anti-inflammatory factor and also has antifungal and antiviral functions.
This product is expressed by rice endosperm cells using genetic recombination technology and purified through protein purification process. Compared with egg white lysozyme, plant expressed lysozyme not only eliminates the safety risks and inter batch performance differences of egg white animal components, but also has higher biological activity than egg white lysozyme.
Product Features
1. Plant expression, no animal derived components and high inter batch consistency;
2. Improve bacterial fermentation efficiency;
3. Has higher bacterial lysis activity;
4. Mild lysis increases the yield of recombinant proteins compared to mechanical lysis.

Reconstitution
1. Use ultrapure water/50% glycerol or 20% sucrose solution to reconstitute to a concentration of 0.1-1 mg/mL. Stand at 2-8℃ or room temperature and it will completely dissolve within 30 minutes. If you need to speed up the dissolution, gently turn the centrifuge tube upside down until the lyophilized powder is completely dissolved.
2. Aseptically filter the fully dissolved lysozyme solution through a 0.22 μm filter membrane, divide it into portions and store it at 2~8℃ and -20℃. It can be stably stored at 2~8℃ for 3-6 months; if you need to store it for a long time, it is recommended to store it at -20℃.
Cautions
1.Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
2.For your safety and health, please wear lab coats and disposable gloves for operation.
3. For research use only.
