Description
Retinoic acid is a metabolic intermediate of vitamin A and a ligand of Retinoic acid receptor and Retinoid X receptor, which can induce cell differentiation and apoptosis. Retinoic acid plays an important role in cell growth, differentiation, organ formation, epithelial metabolism and bone growth. The Kd value of Retinoic acid for PPARα is 103 nM, the Kd value for PPARβ/δ is 17 nM, and the IC50 value for RARα/β/γ is 14 nM.
