Description
RepSox is a potent and selective inhibitor of TGFβR-1, inhibiting ATP binding to ALK5 and inhibiting ALK5 autophosphorylation with IC50s of 23 nM and 4 nM, respectively. RepSox inhibits TGF-β-induced cellular PAI-1 luciferase activity with an IC50 of 18 nM. RepSox can replace the function of Sox2 and induce reprogramming of iPS cells by inhibiting the mechanism of TGFβR-1.
