Description
In vitro cell culture often involves the addition of antibiotics to the culture medium to prevent microbial contamination. Among these, penicillin is the most widely used. Penicillin, streptomycin, and neomycin have a good combined antibacterial effect against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, which can prevent bacterial contamination in cell culture.
This product has been sterilized by filtration through a 0.1 μm filter and contains Penicillin G sodium salt at 5 kU/mL, streptomycin sulfate at 5 mg/mL, and neomycin sulfate at 10 mg/mL. It is provided as a 100X concentrated solution, which requires dilution before use, and it should be used without repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
