Description
Interleukin 19 (IL-19) is a glycosylated protein secretion that exists as a monomer.IL-19 is mainly produced by monocytes and its expression is induced by LPS, IL-4, and GM-CSF.IL-19 is expressed at a low level in B-cells.IL-19, IL-20, and IL-24 are members of the IL-20 subfamily of the IL-10 family, and they can all bind IL-20 receptors and cause activation of the STAT3 signaling pathway.IL20R2 can be paired with IL20R1 or IL22R1 to form either a type I IL20R complex or a type II IL20R complex.IL-20 and IL-24 both have signaling pathways, whereas IL-19 can only signal through the IL-20 receptor complex.
