Description

CD7, also known as Leu-9, is an approximately 40 kDa glycosylated and palmitoylated transmembrane protein in the immunoglobulin superfamily. Mature human CD7 consists of a 155 amino acid (aa) extracellular domain (ECD), a 21 aa transmembrane segment, and a 39 aa cytoplasmic domain. Within the ECD, human CD7 shares 43% and 41% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat CD7, respectively. CD7 is expressed on T cells, NK cells, myeloid progenitor cells, and CD19+ B progenitor cells. Among CD8+ T cells, the CD7-bright population preferentially contains naïve and memory cells, while more weak expressors are primarily effector cells. It also enhances integrin-mediated adhesion of these cells to Fibronectin, ICAM-1, and VCAM-1 . CD7 additionally mediates the Galectin-1 induced apoptosis of T cells and facilitates the fusion of HIV-1 with target cells.

Source

Recombinant Biotinylated Human CD7 Protein is expressed from HEK293 Cells with His tag and Avi tag at the C-terminal. It contains Ala26-Pro180.

Source

The protein has a predicted MW of 19.3 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 34-48 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result.

Physical Appearance

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

Purity

> 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC

Endotoxin

< 1.0 EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22μm filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 5% trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.

Reconstitution

Centrifuge tubes before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100μg/mL is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.

Storage

The products are shipped with ice pack and can be stored at -20℃ for 1 year.

2-7 days, 2 to 8 °C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
3 -6 months, -20 to -80°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.

Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
