Description
Four distinct genes encoding closely related FGF receptors, FGF R1 - 4. All four genes for FGF Rs encode proteins with an N-terminal signal peptide, three immunoglobulin (Ig)-like domains, an acid-box region containing a run of acidic residues between the IgI and IgII domains, a transmembrane domain and the split tyrosine-kinase domain. Only the alpha isoform has been identified for FGF R3 and FGF R4. Fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) comprise a family of at least eighteen structurally related proteins that are involved in a multitude of physiological and pathological cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, angiogenesis, wound healing and tumorgenesis.

Source |
Recombinant Human FGFR2 alpha (IIIb) Protein is expressed from HEK293 Cells with hFc tag at the C-terminal. It contains Arg22-Glu378. |
Molecular Weight |
Approximately 66.4 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 80-115 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result. |
Physical Appearance |
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. |
Purity |
> 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC |
Activity |
ELISA Data: Immobilized Human FGFR2 alpha IIIb, hFc tag at 0.5 μg/mL (100 μL/Well). Dose response curve for Biotinylated Anti-FGFR2 Ab., hFc Tag with the EC50 of 10.0 ng/mL determined by ELISA. |
Endotoxin |
< 1.0 EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method. |
Formulation |
Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 5% trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization. |
Reconstitution |
Centrifuge tubes before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/mL` is recommended (usually we use 1 mg/mL solution for lyophilization). Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. |
Storage
Transport in ice packs. Store at -20°C to -80°C, valid for one year.
After reconstitution, store at -20 to -80°C in unopened state for 3-6 months. After reconstitution, store at 2-8°C for 2-7 days.
It is recommended to store in aliquots and frozen for first use to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
