Description
Endoglin (CD105) is a 90 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the zona pellucida (ZP) family of proteins. Endoglin is highly expressed on proliferating vascular endothelial cells, chondrocytes, and syncytiotrophoblasts of term placenta, with lower amounts on hematopoietic, mesenchymal and neural crest stem cells, activated monocytes, and lymphoid and myeloid leukemic cells. Endoglin homodimers interact with TGF beta 1 and TGF beta 3 (but not TGF beta 2), but only after binding T beta RII. Similarly, they interact with activinA and BMP7 via activin type IIA or B receptors, and with BMP2 via BMPR1A/ALK3 or BMPR1B/ALK6. BMP9, however, is reported to bind endoglin directly. Endoglin modifies ligandinduced signaling in multiple ways. For example, expression of endoglin can inhibit TGF beta 1 signals but enhance BMP7 signals in the same myoblast cell line. In endothelial cells, endoglin inhibits T beta RI/ALK5, but enhances ALK1mediated activation.

Recombinant Human Endoglin/CD105 Protein is expressed from HEK293 Cells with His tag and Avi tag at the C-terminal. It contains Glu26-Gly586. |
Molecular Weight |
Approximately 63.7 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the protein migrates to 70-82 kDa based on Tris-Bis PAGE result. |
Purity |
> 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC. |
Activity |
ELISA Data:Immobilized Human Endoglin, His Tag at 5μg/ml (100μl/well) on the plate. Dose response curve for Anti-Endoglin Antibody, hFc Tag with the EC50 of 13.4ng/ml determined by ELISA. |
Endotoxin |
< 1.0 EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method. |
Formulation |
Lyophilized from 0.22μm filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 8% trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization. |
Reconstitution |
Centrifuge tubes before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/mL is recommended (usually we use 1 mg/mL solution for lyophilization). Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. |
Storage
Transported with ice packs. Store at -20℃ to -80℃, valid for one year.
After reconstitution, store unopened at -20 to -80°C for 3 to 6 months. After reconstitution, store at 2 to 8°C for 2 to 7 days.。
It is recommended to store in aliquots and freeze for the first use to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
