Description
The p24 antigen is a major core structural protein of the HIV-1 virus. Since the p24 antigen appears earlier in the body than viral antibodies, it can be used to detect and determine HIV infection at an earlier stage. Additionally, in biomedical research, the lentiviral vector is commonly used to deliver target genes into cells, and measuring the p24 antigen is a method to assess the transduction efficiency of lentiviruses.
The Yeasen Human HIV-1 p24 ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) Kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit designed for the quantitative determination of HIV-1 p24 in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. Specific anti-HIV-1 p24 antibodies are pre-coated on high-affinity enzyme-labeled plates. After adding standards and test samples to the wells of the enzyme-labeled plate and incubating, any HIV-1 p24 present in the samples binds to the solid-phase antibodies. After washing away unbound substances, a detection antibody is added and incubated. Following another wash, an enzyme conjugate (Streptavidin-HRP) is added and incubated. After washing, a chromogenic substrate (TMB) is added, and the plate is incubated in the dark. The intensity of the color reaction is proportional to the concentration of HIV-1 p24 in the sample. The reaction is terminated by adding a stop solution, and the absorbance is measured at 450 nm wavelength (with a reference wavelength of 570 - 630 nm).

Product Storage
The assay kit can be stored at 2-8℃. Alternatively, the reagents can be stored according to the storage conditions provided in the component information to avoid contamination and repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Diluted working solutions should be used immediately and not reused. The shelf life is 1 year.
