Mouse LIF (Leukemia Inhibitory Factor) is commonly used in cell culture to maintain stem cell pluripotency.LIF is a widely expressed pleiotropic member of the IL-6 cytokine family. Mature mouse LIF is expressed as a highly variable glycosylated 32-62 kDa monomer with 78%, 91%, 80%, 76%, and 78% amino acid sequence identity to human, rat, canine, bovine, and porcine LIF, respectively.LIF is produced by activated CD4+ T cells, and is required for the maturation of thymic epithelial-supporting T cells.LIF may also act as an autocrine growth factor in some pancreatic cancers, but it can have a role as an autocrine growth factor. LIF also functions as an autocrine growth factor in some pancreatic cancers, but it induces differentiation of the myeloid leukemia cell line M1.LIF promotes regulatory T cells and inhibits Th17 cell differentiation, which downregulates inflammation and contributes to immune tolerance during pregnancy and in the nervous system.

-85~-65℃ storage, valid for 1 year after receipt.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing, centrifuge before opening the vial. It is recommended to aliquot for one experimental use, after aliquoting, freeze at -80℃.
